Introducing the updated Steam Mobile app

Just went to the Steam App to message a friend from work, only to find out that they removed the chat feature and replaced it with a completely separate app. So I went to check that out and see that out of 10, 000 reviews, it has a 1.3 out of 5, with people complaining about it crashing all the time. Yeah...no. Really hoping Valve listens to their community and puts it back in the main app, cause I will not be downloading another app with all those permissions (I steer clear of apps with Phone Identity as much as possible). Also, I find it interesting that they spent all this time working on a new chat app instead of fixing the one they already have. No edit feature?! Really Valve? This is why everyone uses Discord instead. Very disappointed.

Please, let us chat with friends in this app too. I don't really wanna download another one just for that. The previous version of Steam Mobile had the option to chat with friends and it was convenient to use.

Wow, Valve has been updating steam a lot in the past several months surprisingly. Biggest being this by far but also the new features like stats, store hubs, and updated UI is nice to see!

The "old" steam app was way better/more simple to use. You click on the app and the chat opens. If I want to browse, I open the tab on the left. Why not make such a close design again as we had that for many years? This new app design is just garbage in my opinion. And worst of them all why you gotta make a million apps for every little thing?
