The c919 is not a wide body aircraft. It is a narrow body designed to compete with the a320/21 and 737max.

All major mechanical parts are from foreign, even the jet engine is from the UK. Apparently, they don't know how to put it together.

The big reason other airlines won't buy the C919 is that it's using technology from the 90s. Those "LEAP" engines they're getting are nothing more than CFM56s with a fresh coat of paint.
