I was looking forward to flying on Air India's Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Sadly my excitement was short lived as my flight turned into a comedy of errors.

Really bummed about the “no window” ideology that’s become ingrained in todays flying culture. Looking out the window has always been my favorite part of flying.

Imagine paying 1800 and getting stared with scolding eyes when you ask for water because you interrupted the attendant to ask them to do their job

Can’t understand why some airlines have this obsession with dimming the windows for no particular reason. It’s really irritating. I find it so relaxing to look out the window on a flight, even when it’s only a view of the top of a layer of clouds.

And this guy is seated in a business class seat; it makes me wonder what the economy is like.

$1, 885 for that flight? Disgraceful. And airlines should stop controlling window views — other than during landings and takeoffs. There’s a reason people want to fly during the day and sit by the window. And it’s not so the crews can darken the cabin so they can goof off in the galleys. How about deep cleaning your filthy planes, by the way?

Strange that the cabin crew wouldn't be more attentive knowing you were filming your experience. The fact they even tried to forbade it was telling in itself.

“Its gonna be a good flight this one I can feel it in me bones” yeah that escalated quickly 😂

As an Indian unfortunately I had the same experience in 2020 when I was struggling to visit my ma who was in ICU. Terrible experience and then got stuck for 4 months because of the pandemic. I tried to connect with them by email, phone, but no one helped. Then I paid a hand and foot to buy a ticket from Vande Bharat flight. Another horrible experience. Air India never returned the $400.00 from the previous two way flight I had paid for. Where as, other air lines returned the money to a few friends who were also traveling. Air India never responded to my emails.
My hard earned money, they just stole it from me.
I don't think I will ever support and buy another Air India ticket again.

I’d be so disappointed to have a window seat where I couldn’t look out when I wanted to. For me it’s the best thing about flying.

Dude even Indians hate Air India. Almost all our comedians have dunked on them, it's easy to get laughs roasting AI.

I'm looking forward to the day when we see a flight entirely full of youtubers filming it and each other.

As an Indian I would love to thank you for this honest review. I have lived in Australia for the past 6 years and have taken Air India around the World on and off for the last decade. I have found Air India to have old aircrafts, dirty and dated cabins, questionable food, little or no selection of welcome drinks even in business class, unprofessional cabin and ground crew, laughable lounges that are often too crowded and with no service, dirty aircraft toilets and I feel like I can keep going. They have very strange rules and just not worth travelling with them.

It was a long time ago, but I once had a very bizarre flight on Air India. It was a 747, and once we reached altitude, water started dripping from the ceiling onto the passengers in several areas of the plane. The crew went around with blankets so people could cover up. Apparently there were inflatable life rafts stored in the ceiling of the plane, and these had just been removed and tested before our flight, and put back in place without being dried properly. The altitude cause the moisture to condense and start dripping.

Air India can turn a Dreamliner into Nightmareliner

I once had a flight with air India, entire row of entertainment systems was broken, my seatbelt fell off the seat, all the overhead lockers kept opening during takeoff landing and literally any sort of turbulence. The only that was good was the tea, everything else was just horrible. Not to mention the seat we payed to get was refused to us and we got stuck in seat with less legroom

Air India 32 years ago, 747 from Heathrow to Mumbai. The toilets were overflowing with wee and other delightful particles, actually running down the aisles. The smell was disgusting. The flight crew blamed a group of Indians that did not wish to use a modern toilet. Since then I carried the plastic bag type shoe protectors that police use at crime scenes. I'm slowly catching up with your back catalogue. 👍

I'm an expat Londoner who has lived in Sydney, Oz, for over 30 years. I love my adopted country but the feeling of joy when the plane descends towards Heathrow after 26 hours travelling is indescribably lovely. Happy Friday one and all.

My goodness, this video resonates with my terrible experience flying with Air India back in 2016. All of the issues raised here were the same on my flight: darkened windows during an entirely daytime flight, reading light not working, unclean, almost non-existent service, lackluster staff reading books instead of doing their job! I haven't flown with them again, and never will.
