How the new Airbus A350 is going to end Boeing’s dominance? Airbus opted to make a $4 billion investment in building a novel model which would provide the strongest competition for Boeing 787. It has proven to be a smart decision over the years as they came out with the vastly improved Airbus A350.

For the last time, the 787 doesn’t compete with the A350

I guess you didn't hear that United Airlines just made a deal for purchase of 200 787's, and will cancel pending A350 orders?

Risible. Both companies are industry leaders, each with their pluses and minuses.

The FAA doesn’t ‘heavily critique’ Boeing. On the contrary, it is partial and biased towards the manufacturer, resulting in fatal crashes on occasion.

Boeings biggest problem is Boeing not Airbus!

Boeing will be just fine. There will be a market for both AirBus and Boeing. They both may have to share the overall market with the Chinese. I would never travel on a “made in China “ aircraft.

These two companies will go back and forth in commercial aviation for the rest of our lives. The difference is Boeing’s military and space divisions are worth many times what their commercial sector is worth. Airbus’s military contracts have been losing money.

The A350 and 787 are mostly only competitors in terms of range. The A350 competes more closely with the 777, and the 787 competes more closely with the A330. Just because the two planes entered service around the same time, doesn’t mean they’re designed to be direct competitors.

It is meant to compete with the triple 777 while also partially taking orders away from 787s because of its composite material but it’s competition is the 777

Statistics show airbus dominate Boeing currently. Boeing not planning any new planes until 2035 to focus on their current infrastructure issues. They’re not out for the count but they’re not touching Airbus for a while.

It's a stiff competition with Airbus slightly leading in the airline industry. However, if it can dominate Boeing in the military sector then I will be impressed.

United just ordered 100 787s with an option for another 100. Doesn't sound like Boeing is rocketing into irrelevance...

The A350 is much larger than the 787. The 787's competitor is the A330neo, while the A350 competes with the 777 and 777X

I used to be a Boeing guy, the 737 NG, 757 ❤, and the 777 are lovely planes. But lately airbus has been making the planes user friendly, top notch tech, and safety first!

Boeing has been grabbing money over safety.

People are really out of touch. Both companies make great airplanes. Yes, there have been setbacks but flying is still the a safe way to travel. Comments like "Boeing planes are a flying coffin" are so ridiculous. No clue...smh

But the 787 already had blackout windows

"Heavy Critique of the Federal Aviation Agency" Hardly - when the FAA trusted boeing they messed it up so not surprising that the FAA is now doing it's job better! Although boeing is still prioritising lack of difference training over making improvements.
