I love the fact that The Last of Us is now being introduced to a wider range of audiences. This story deserves all the spotlights.

For those who arent into video games, I can’t tell you how amazing this intro is. So many video game adaptations just seem to forget that the video games they’re based on have music in them, and that the music is often great. To see them use the game’s actual main theme music as the show’s theme is such a breath of fresh air.

Its insane how each year, a video game adaption got released (2021: Arcane, 2022: Cyberpunk Edgerunners, 2023: The Last of Us) and each adaption was straight up fire

I adore that the theme is untouched from its game iteration.
You can't improve perfection, after all.

The way the fungus grows and morphs into what symbolises Joel and Ellie is perfection in every-way possible

Hearing this theme makes me wanna go and re-play TLOU for the 5th time. Absolutely love that they included it for the intro!

0:05 fungus travelling across the land/USA, implying an ‘escort’ story
0:10 the sky scrapers
0:19 beating heart
0:25 USA+city lights
0:35 human face on its side
0:40 barbed wire+baby
0:45 the earth
0:55 Joel and Ellie.

those are all i (and others) could find, but if you catch something else i’ll add it to the list

This opening just won an Emmy. Well deserved.

This opening is chilling and haunting, exactly like the show. I'm really impressed so far, and Pedro and Bella are superb as the two leads.

Never in my life have I want a show to succeed as much as this one. The trailer looks phenomenal, let's hope it's as good.

I was literally getting chills and almost started crying when I heard the main theme in the opening. Best choice ever to include this theme in the series.

Coming from someone who’s never played the games i absolutely love this show, I’m fully invested in every character that’s introduced. The show so far is a 10/10 already!

This series broke the video game live action curse once and for all, just like this opening, hauntingly beautfiul.

It sucks that this music likely won't receive an Emmy nomination as it wasn't created specifically for TV. But its going to be amazing to hear it before each episode
