For everyone hating on Abby you do see the character development in Abby slowly but surely turns into Joel. she finds a kid needing help, she protects him no matter what including killing her own guys Wich is what Joel did in the first to fireflies. abby sees lev as redemption for herself just like does with Ellie.

Abby wins on endurance. She fought the fucking Rat King on her own, which is more than we can say for Ellie.
Besides, Abby's got military training, meaning she's got more stamina and higher battle IQ.
