We had just gotten back from a great trip, she had a heart to heart conversation with my mother about how she knew what she wanted for the future, she named our hypothetical future son after my brother who had passed away, she sent me a link to the engagement ring she wanted.... 5 days later, she discarded me. Its been three months and I'm still so hurt and confused.

She was the deepest connection I have made. I really loved her and remember the time lying down in bed when she told me she's falling in love with me. I have never cried with such pain like I did after she discarded me. I didn't know emotional pain could be like that. I gave so much to her and I that I don't feel that when dating others now. It's hard to open up after that.

And when you date a fearful avoidant they alternate between this deactivated state and then an anxious state which brings them frantically running back to you looking for that emotional connection they pulled away from 😢 it’s so exhausting but as long as they are working to improve like we all should be the relationship can still work!

It’s been 4 weeks since my break up with my FA partner. We were in an LDR and she was comfortable. After 4 years of being together, we planned for her to take a trip down to where I live but I feel like this step in the relationship triggered her. She says that I have a bright future ahead of me and I’m surrounded by goodness in my life. Her brother reached out and said that I was the best boyfriend she ever had. We started NC 3 weeks after the break up and I’m 9 days in. I’m starting to think that being with her is for the best but I am open to trying again
