Really appreciate the video to get the word out. I try to explain to customers why I charge what I charge. You guys do great work.

I understand that tools cost money but you really can't factor those in the cost, imagine getting a brake job done on your car and they factor in the tools, it would cost you thousands just for brakes, everything else is good though, rent, supplies, labor, but besides all that, you guys do awesome work 👍👍👍👍👍👍

This a great video. I have a small home shop and 3 months ago electric rates jumped 67%, yes 67 not 6 or 7. My electric bill was on average $350-375, noiw $618!!!! People dont get it.

Very insightful, informative and helpful. Most people don't appreciate the work and costs involved in making anything. Only see finished product and think it was easy.
Point of clarification. You charge the full cost of tools on every project even if the tool was only used as part of the build? Do you apply the same principle to smaller builds ie coffee tables, charcuterie boards? Is this industry standard?
Thanks.

There is no debate! Epoxy is difficult to work with and if you make a mistake, it will be a very expensive dilemma. The customer pays for the knowledge and experience of the craftman. It's a very niche skill. People have to pay for that, PERIOD.

I’m interested to know why you flood coat with epoxy before applying Rubio?

I apply my Rubio to the bare wood, but always open to learning new methods

You guys do awesome work. When doing a table with live edge and if it has a steep live edge do you make the steep part the top of the table? Some live edge are kind of straight up and down and not much character so how how do you position yours? I call it the sharp part of the live edge, do you put that on top or bottom

Some people are just jerk that don't even want to pay a $1.00 more for something of good quality but would rather buy something of lower quality.

Stunning work guys!
I make resin tables too and have been asked why it’s so much I always give the same answer:

Considering some people will spend hundreds or thousands on designer brand clothing that doesn’t cost much more to make than a cheap brand of clothing, now you have a piece of quality furniture that if looked after will last generations…. I rest my case, same with tools you buy cheap you get what you pay for this isn’t ikea off the shelf chipboard 🙄 some people just don’t get it while wearing their expensive fashion brands of clothes and driving a luxury car. I bet the furniture we make outlasts both

If they tried making one they'd understand

Telling people it would be cheaper to do it yourself, doesn't seem like a very good sales tactic to me. I guess rich people have nothing better to spend their money on since it's definitely not their employees.

Never feel like you ever have to justify what you charge bro .
