I have had a friend with ALS that I took care of for about a year and a half. At the end she moved into my home and I took care of her. We put her on the protein drinks which she drank several a day. I feel for you all and you all are in our prayers. It is a terrible disease. Just love her as much as you can.

I am sorry about grandma! I am old widow also & asking my Lord JESUS CHRIST to keep me mentally & mostly physically able as there is no more family for me. It would have been wonderful to have son & daughter like you with grandchildren like your children. I would be right in there helping in any way I could Lord showed me through HIS word is spending time with HIM that reading it daily carries a promise for healing proverbs3:8 & 107:20, that worshiping HIM daily will also induce healing Exodus 23:25, by doing both I also gain promised in Malachi4:2. So maybe have someone read her the word each day even if she doesn't seem to comprehend as it may help as I believe it has kept me.

My mother-in-law passed of ALS. My dear husband blended up all her food and spoon fed her until she could no longer eat. It’s a sad, sad disease. Blessings on your family.

Being there for a dying parent is probably one of the hardest and yet, most life-fulfilling things a child can do. Nothing can prepare you for that experience and recovery. Then, finding you way back to your new normal, missing the absence of their presence in your lives, can only be done one day at a time. Walk slowly, allowing yourselves grace and the space to grieve your loss before, during and afterward. Sending thoughts and prayers of comfort to Big Daddy too. God bless ya'll. ❤

Visited the black forest in Germany in January. The houses there have been around for centuries. The bottom level that leads out on the lower side of the hill directly to the pasture. The cows and manure in stalls put off heat that rose to help warm upper levels through long winters
