Great video! I think the event you saw at the palace was called "Cheopjong" and it is a re-enactment of demonstrations done by the royal guards. It was performed every October for many years but it was put on hold during covid and returned recently. Also small correction but it is called Bukchon Hanok Village. Buk means "north" and chon means "village." There's also a Seochon(west village) neighborhood that has been gaining popularity in the vicinity of Bukchon.
