Apparently you can eat a taco and NOT make a mess…
Who knew?! 🤷🏻♂️
These BBQ Tofu Tacos are sweet and savoury, with a whole lot of flavour!
Topped with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, avocados, and shredded vegan cheddar.

*Makes 6 tacos*
𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
1 tbsp neutral oil
1/4 block extra firm tofu, shredded
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp black pepper
Pinch of salt
1/2 bottle (125ml) vegan BBQ sauce @goodfoodforgood
1/4 cup water
𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬:
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Red onions
Avocados
Shredded Vegan Cheddar @daiyafoods
𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
(1) Wrap up the tofu block in a clean cloth. Squeeze out the water. Keep some moisture to make it juicy. Shred using a cheese grater.
(2) In a pan with oil over medium heat, drop in the shredded tofu with the spices. Stir and cook for 7-10 minutes, until golden. Remove & set aside.
(3) In the same pan, add the vegan bbq sauce to simmer over medium heat. Add the water and stir to thin down. Then let it thicken again.
(4) Fold in the cooked tofu and heat up for 2-3 minutes. Remove and build up the tacos.
