Native Americans use to eat their dried bison meat with added wild berries to improve the flavor. They were considered healthy in strength and endurance.

My dad has an advanced form of copd (emphysema). He can't get an operation, because it has allready affected his lungs so badly. Could you please help us dr Greger? What steps could my father take when it comes to diet? To make him more stable or even improve a little? And what foods and drinks should he avoid?

I have asthma and smoked for 12 pack years. Also worked in a dusty place for 10 years. I am so worried at 50 that I will get COPD from my stupid behavior. Think I will look at this. I am sorta worried.

This video is interesting because my overall diet all my life have been really irregular and have consisted only of candies, sodas, white processes grains and prepackaged frozen foods.
You could call it low calorie junk food diet at really irregular times which is probably why i stayed skinny despite the unhealthy eating.
I will probably try a long term strict diet low in junk and high in fruits, green vegetables and vegetables overall and see if i notice any big difference.

Because I have weird consistent cough and breathing problems everyday sense 10 years that recently got a little worse and it really scares me because i´m under 30 years old.
I've been doing many different tests and getting all different answers all kinds of different doctors back and forward and no one know exactly what lung problem it is, but I´m afraid it might be copd.
despite that i´ve also been smoking a little bit back and forward and been extremely sedentary which is really stupid off course.

It´s easier said than done but will focus to quit smoking entirely now The most important rule is don´t take the first one because one cigarette sooner or later always leads to more. quitting smoking is the most important thing especially in an early stage of breathing problems.
