I have a family member worked in wood related industry back in 90s now learned COPD diagnosis. The industry didn't offer masks but stretching before work was required to avoid accidents.

I was diagnosed with this at 11, after being around smoking grandparents frequently with underlying conditions caused it. They said it’s very rare but I mean, what can I do?

I have it. There is a relatively new medication. For me it has been almost a miracle. (not a steroid). I don't know if it's permitted to reveal the name on this site.
