Sony ZV-E10 II - Watch This BEFORE You Buy!!

Sony just announced the release of their newest camera, the Sony ZVE10 Mark 2. This camera is a major step up from its predecessor, the ZVE10. While it comes with major upgrades I don't know that I recommend it above the original as the "best value" camera Sony has to offer. They sent it to me for review and I have some thoughts...

What is weird is that the ZV-E10 II is the best advertisement for the a6700. Sony, you priced the ZV-E10 II too high. It should be no higher than $899.

Hi, loved your video. I'm looking for a camera to livestream my makeup video tutorials. Is the the camera you would recommend? Could you also recommend a lens that would allow me to show close up shots of my face? I'm using a canon 90D right now and they havent' updated the software to be compatible with the new apple upgrades. Such a pain.

I just got a ZV-E10, of course they come out with a mk2 😅 I'm good with what I have though, loving it so far. I do plan to get a Sony FX30 at some point since I'm getting more into cinematography and use the ZV-E10 as a secondary. Great video, been binging on your videos as of late!

I'm looking for a new main camera to replace my ZV-E10, which would then become my secondary camera. Initially, I considered the ZV-E10 II, but after watching numerous reviews, I've concluded that the A6700 would be a better choice as my primary camera. It seems like a more significant upgrade for my current setup.

I typically shoot content for YouTube in my studio using a tripod, so features like IBIS or 10-bit aren't crucial for me. Additionally, I use the camera to take pictures of the products I review (I currently use a Panasonic for that). Right now, spending over €1, 100 on the ZV-E10 II doesn't seem worthwhile, as I don't think I'd notice a substantial difference from the original ZV-E10. If it was priced around €700-800, it would be a no-brainer.

My main concern with the A6700 is losing the ease of use for video production that the ZV series offers. While I know the A6700 has a fast UI accessible through the touchscreen, it's not specifically designed for video, which gives me pause. I'm really torn right now! 😃

I have a question when you did the overheating test in the streaming studio that lasted 45 minutes the camera overheated or you simply stopped broadcasting, and if you stopped broadcasting do you think I could withstand more in a controlled studio without the fan? It's a question so you don't have to overspend haha excellent video. 👍👍

When a new camera drops, go straight to Ben Johnson for truth and nuance! And BTW, if Motion VFX is really your secret sauce for graphics, then hmm, I've always wondered how you pull off those artsy effects.. thanks for the encouragement at the end, all of us creatives need to hear it

YEPPP exactly, I couldn't agree more... Originally I wanted to buy this camera for my girlfriend and support her content creation journey, but as an FX3 and A7IV owner I spent hours and hours back then before I purchased my cameras and after watching multiple videos of this ZVE-10 II thanks to You guys (YouTube community) I just can't say this is a better buy for a starter creator than the Mark I version for $600... that camera with a good prime lens like the Sony 15 f1.4 or a Sigma 16 f1.4 is just a better buy if you not necessarily need slow motion at 4k. If you just wanna vlog, film your YouTube videos and take quality photos, the Mark I is a better buy or save up and get the A6700, which actually has a mechanical shutter (no bending), IBIS and the AI processor.
