At the end of the day, solving things like grown ups, talking about it, is the best way. I'm a relatively new member and I'm loving your content

Monie's video on the hotel incident and the supposed security guard was actually ideal perfect investigative journalism. She stated what the claim was, where the claim originated from, looked at the situation, asked questions, found some answers, but ended when there was no more info to talk about and simply correctly stated that the situation is unresolved and isn't proven one way or the other. She looked into people directly associated, tried to reach out to them, and did all of it above board with no op-ed injections. I hope she keeps up with that level of work because that's exactly what should be happening and she's very entertaining while breaking down her process.

I grew up as a white kid in a mostly black and hispanic neighborhood. It's really easy to get tricked by the validation you get from not messing up into getting a big head and messing up, if that makes sense. I was trying to have empathy for WTD through this, despite how much of a fool he made of himself. But it reminded me of moments of selfish shortsightedness in my childhood, and watching the stream with Suparig where he just let people say their peace helped clarify things for me. That's probably the thing that ended up helping me back then too- listening enough to realize you will have never listened enough. And you have to just be okay with that.

Sorry about the long paragraph, the whole situation just made me think about the systems i had to put in place to avoid those mistakes. (And i still make mistakes, just gotta be sorry and humble and keep moving forward)

We all know it wasn’t about Kendrick & Drake. Bro was “lost in his own hubris”.

It’s good to hear you both talked, and you’re good with where you’re both at now. Hope dirt keeps working on himself.

Appreciate your perspective and insight, glad I found your channel.

I’m glad you had the opportunity to discuss the situation. That’s what adults do! However I really didn’t appreciate how people have felt comfortable disrespecting us and benefitting from us! I know this is how it’s been but at some point it needs to stop. The dagger Dan hit me hard! I felt that.

Hi Mr. Hunt - Lurker, and manager of my own online communities in a different space. I really admire how you handled yourself during this. I started watching your videos for your perspective on hip-hop, and I subscribed because of the quality of man you are. Thank you for posting these videos, they are a model for how to handle the situation you were in as well as an excellent response to what happened.

We were on his neck, Justin. We got you. I told Matt his hood was showing, and he didn't know what I meant. I said thats a sign you're an outsider to our culture. 🤣🤷🏾‍♂️

Bias is not coming to a situation, assessing the information, and forming an opinion. It's working backwards from your pre-existing opinions and beliefs. I did not hear Drake's music for the first time with a bias against Drake. He earned my opinion over time. As did Kendrick.

You handled this with so much grace and poise, it's inspiring. I don't say this with pride but I would have gotten so nasty so quick. Respect.

Your intention has always been FELT! As my grandma would say, 'The waterfall can only overflow when its river is full of abundance.' It was refreshing to see the community pour back into you the same way you’ve poured into many of us over the years, especially for those of us who have a deep connection to hip-hop and truly appreciate the important pillars who carry it forward with sincerity and reverence.

As always, IT'S ALL HAPPENING! ✊🏾♥️🖤💚
