Pakistan to receive WZ-10ME attack helicopters from China
Показать описание
Pakistan will reportedly receive the first batch of WZ-10ME attack helicopters it has ordered from China in late 2023.
Photos circulating in cyberspace, where the WZ-10ME is seen flying. It is likely that it is carrying out a test flight from the Changhe Aircraft Industries Corporation (CAIC) factory area, before being sent to Pakistan.
As is known, Pakistan chose this WZ-10ME as a replacement for the T129 ATAK attack helicopter made by Turkish Aerospace Industries which it never received.
In 2018, Pakistan signed a deal with Turkish Aerospace Industries to supply 30 T129 ATAKs, valued at US$1.5 billion.
The WZ-10ME is a sophisticated attack helicopter which is the equivalent of the Russian Mi-28, the United States AH-64, and the West European Tigre.
The WZ-10ME has all-weather round-the-clock combat capability and can carry a variety of weapons such as air-to-ground missiles, air-to-air missiles and rockets.
This two-maned helicopter can be relied upon to destroy enemy fortifications, armored mobile ground targets, and fight with enemy helicopters.
As additional information, Pakistan is the first foreign customer for the WZ-10ME attack helicopter and previously also the first foreign customer for the Chengdu J-10CE 4.5 generation advanced fighter jet.
