Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Trains in Southern California 2022

Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner is one of the busiest intercity passenger rail routs in the United States. In this video, we return to Southern California during the first half of 2022 to see Pacific Surfliner trains traveling in San Diego County and Orange County. We'll stop by many well known photo and video locations to see these sleek looking passenger trains skirt the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Great video of the Pacific Surfliners. I ride the Pacific Surfliners to & from Los Nageles & Oxnard when I’m home in Chula Vista on visits for up to a week. I alternate between Los Angeles & Oxnard every other visit home to Chula Vista.

Looks like Amtrak borrowed three "California Surfliner" coaches (6460 unit series) from Amtrak California trains of Northern California (San Joaquin and Capitol Corridor trains). Coaches 6462 (Moss Beach), 6463 (Muir Beach), and 6465 (Moonstone Beach) are currently running Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains down in Southern California.
