On PC, Make sure if you are using a mod manager (like vortex) that you launch it from the mod manager AND you have steam open.

I launched it from mod manager and did not have steam open. My only option was to create a new game 😮. I then closed the game, opened steam, launched from mod manager (vortex) then everything was normal and I could could continue my game.

Holy Crap IT WORKED!!! This is the only video or help that tells you to keep trying old saves until it works and it finally did!! I only lost 1.5 hours!!! THANK YOU!!!

So for me the cloud has snatched up all the old save files I guess, when ever I go to the file location it’s empty. I can’t even copy and old file onto a new one because they are gone. Not sure if there’s a way to find the files in cloud save folder or not. Even when I go to Xbox app and manage cloud saves that’s also empty. I had a buddy give me one of his saves to copy into a new game save so that’s the only solution I’ve found to my problem, still a shame. Lost 65 hours of my gameplay to the void

So how do we turn off the Xbox cloud? It doesn't work without being able to turn it off somehow.
