Great video. I made me first piece of glass in 1989 and I spent close to $500 THEN. But I was so happy I did. And I still have those hand tools and inland Wizard glass grinder TO THIS DAY in 2022. I also know that is why I was so successful and I am still happily doing glass this very day. You are 100% right about that. You definitely get what you pay for.

I've been binge watching a lot of your videos and finally got to this one and can I just say THANK YOU! You take a no BS approach to tools and equipment needed. I have watched several other videos of equipment needed and this is the FIRST time I came across a video that talks about tip tinner. Now I'm venturing down a rabbit hole of soldering iron care, but it's honestly the little things like this that make your videos so valuable. It's not just about keeping the prices cheap, but about prolonging the life of your tools - otherwise it's going to end up costing more in the long run. Thank you so much for this video!!

Drywall sheet also makes a decent surface for soldering. i have one cut down to use for soldering and one screwed to the top of my wooden workbench that i replace as needed

Thanks for making all of your videos. Your training enabled me to complete my project, a sunburst mirror for my daughter. Sixteen slivers of mirror. Never would have been possible without all of your tips, tricks and inspiration. Thank you!

Great video as usual, very down to earth comparing apples to oranges as far as all the stain glass tools go. You would make a great instructor in your business $$$. Keep up the great work Makenzie ❤️

I love how passionate you are about putting the best and most supportive recommendations and knowledge about the tools we will need to make quality pieces. I know what you mean about not skimping on particular products, I’m a bit of a brand whore myself with things like dish soap, deodorant, toothpaste, cleaning products, and all so I totally relate. It’s like the difference between night and day, or between bespoke clothing tailored to fit your body and exact measurements versus buying clothing at fashion nova. Some things you have to choose for their quality and the soundness just as you mentioned. Thank you again for another very informative video!

I wish you the best of health!
Cheers! 🖤🥂🥀

This is 100% the best list of everything you need! I've been watching so many videos to get the bases covered before I start purchasing, and I haven't found a single one mention tip tinner, chain, jump rings, finishing wax, etc. Like how to you expect to have a completed project with maybe half the supplies you need??

Thanks for the tough love and tattoo advice haha, I love that you made a list & was super prepared. I'm glad I started watching your videos when I started stained glass, always informative & extra tips. Weird request, can you do a video of how you clean up after? I just like to see everything. 👀 haha

Great video. I use a piece of wall board (plasterboard) as my solder surface.

Great advice for beginners and old timers alike! Did not really know that the tinner was a big deal. Have never used one (30 yrs off and on) and my iron has been fine. Just lucky I guess.

Hey glass Goddess everything I’ve learned about glass has been pretty much from your videos not to mention how to replace parts on my Taurus ring saw I am now doing well enough thanks to you that after showing sample photos of my work several shops want to market my pieces however I have a big problem! I’m completely overwhelmed with how to calculate media cost of the individual cut glass pieces to figure in for pricing. Can you please advise or make a video on the topic? Thanks for all the awesome videos and keep them coming 🫶 you’er the best!
