I had to do some clicking on the layers before I was able to make the trim work (Gotta hold shift and press on the dots next to the images to highlight the shapes you want to apply it to before it works)
Besides that, thank you very much for the tutorial, helped me solve a problem I was tackling for an hour :)

whenever I hit trim it deletes the entire object the image is overlapping; not just the section it's touching. Can anyone tell me why?
