How to delete mask points in Premiere Pro

In this short but very useful tutorial, I'll show you how to delete mask points in Premiere Pro. It's very easily to create a point on a mask in premiere pro, which is by simply clicking on any lines of a mask (pay attention to the plus sign when adding a point). But, deleting a point on a mask isn't as easy and many people might not even be aware that such option exists. So, in order to delete a point on a mask all you got to do is to move the cursor over the point that you want to delete, and then hold the ctrl key on Windows or Command key on Mac. Then, you should see a minus (negative) sign appearing. Then, simply click on that point to delete it. The lowest number of points a mask can have is 3. So, if you already got 3 points, you won't be able to delete any further.

I have a very serious problem about it: I tried, as you said, clicking on a node of a mask with Ctrl clicked to delete it, but it always gives me a problem until it closes itself. Is there a remedy for such a problem?

I was hoping for a different option, the new version (2023) is crashing every time I try to delete a point... Is there another way?

How do u expand a rectangle mask without changing the angle.

Or how do you draw a straight line from left to right to ensure it is straight?

I’ve never figured this out

Nice tutorials man. Found you through the video on the missing fonts which I encountered while my internet was out lol. Just a suggestion but if there's a way to turn the input volume down on your preamp/audio interface/recording software, your audio should sound less harsh and compressed. You generally want to aim for a final volume that doesn't peak above 0DB but you also (and especially) want to avoid your audio "going in hot" or clipping the 0DB level as it's recorded, unless you're going for that effect of course. 🙂

I deleted some points on a frame, but the same points were deleted in previous frames. How can I avoid that to happen?

Can you have a different amount of mask points in between keyframes? Or do I need to create a new mask with less points
