Learning how to think iteratively resolved my #1 issue: why doesn't this work for me?! Instead of wasting time looking for the next shining thing, thinking iteratively taught me to problem solve and spiral up! Check out how in the video!

I have always naturally created frameworks, but didn't realize it deserved a name until finding this channel. Thanks for shedding light on this!

"You don’t scale a complex system by aggregation or imitation but by decomposition to an optimal level of granularity followed by recombination (possibly exaptive) in context: complexity is about how things connect far more than what the things are." - Dave Snowden

That quote is what comes to my mind as associated with video.

Thank You for sharing ideas. 🙏🔥

Your content is I was running on linear thinking constantly and I feel so exhausted and demotivated by the chase of new solutions that don't gave me the results I want. Thank you so much Vicky you have helped me so so much❤❤❤

Summary of this video:
Don't try to find a lot of solutions for one problem if the solution didn't work. In alternative, try to answer the question 'Why didn't the solution work?'

I think sometimes I am linear and sometimes I am iterative depending on the situation/problems encountered. Thank you for the video that helped me to understand myself more!

I really like this video, i kind of found the answer of my question about how im running my life until now. I watched a lot videos about planning, time management, etc and every time i often change my way of do my live, so i feel im getting nowhere. Your explanation help me find whats my problem.. thank you so muchh

Great video, thanks! I'm definitely an iterative thinker. The funny thing is, I am also very practical and logical, so sometimes, that influences how I adapt to circumstances and resolve problems.

Great video as always. But consider the following situation - What if a different framework/tool can better solve your problem and take into consideration more factors/dimensions that you wanted? The trade off to not find a different solution would still be worth it?

Thank you very much for giving me something to think about - for some reason I remembered differential and integral calculus )))

this is important! I am a perfectionist, and that's a problem. I have to remind myself that it's about the process everyday

Priority is such a vague term. It can mean urgent, significant and important at the same time. High energy is again vague.

Incomplete.

Iterative processes are highly dependent on you knowing where you are starting from, and what the goal is, or at least the direction you need to go in.

Take coding for example. Literally an exercise in iteration, with devs refactoring / reshaping / updating code, both individually and collaboratively.

There's a code smell we gave a really fancy name "speculative generality", which boils down to, we (people) are terrible at guessing.

Build out a feature in code (iteratively), and the after many months of working around both the code and the assumption the feature will be shipped, rip it out and throw it away because of whatever reason (bad market research, moving target goals, etc)... Bad guessers.

So it can be said, when things (goals / directions) are not well defined iterative will not help, and can even hinder, using up resources.

This is why I say incomplete, parallel thinking needs to be added as a 3rd method. That is to pursue multiple trains of thought simultaneously to explore the dimensional scope available. I believe it's more useful in a creative context.

For example the Disney method where you adopt the role of the outsider, dreamer, realist, critic.

Or in the case of your graphs what would happen if you added another (z) axis *before* trying to name them? Or 4 axis (total) with different colors representing association with different axis?

But when do you finally decide that it is your framework that is flawed?
