The Zoom H8 : Audio Interface Mode

Very useful video - thank you - spent a couple of hours trying to figure all this out for a live Zoom stream with instruments. We had it all done except needed to turn down the Zoom (conferencing) audio feature filter of 'background noise' from 'High' to 'low' as we couldn't hear our gongs. All good now. Cheers!

I have an issue here. When I plug micro usb cable on my computer (windows 10) in order to make this audio interface run, the output occurs in H8 not on PC. How can I fix it? The sound of computer is playing on my device not the contrary.

I have been fighting with this damn H8 for 3 days trying to get it to work as an audio interface with Adobe Audition. I finally got Audition to recognize the mics plugged into the H8 but tracks 1 and 2 record from each mic into both tracks. Even if I turn off one mic the other still records into tracks 1 and 2 and this is in stereo mix. When I try to connect in multitrack to Audition on my windows laptop I cant even get the app to pic up any sound. I have tried the Zoom H8 ASIO driver and the ASIO4ALL driver and still can't get this H8 to work in any DAW. A little help?

I get crackling when usign the Zoom H8 as an audio interface into Ableton 12 on my Windows 11 machine. I've tried adjusting the buffer size, ranging from 64 to 1024, and I still get the crackle. I've tried different USB cables with the same result. The main reason I got the Zoom H8 was to use as an audio interface to record drums, but it's useless to me with all the crackling. I've updated the firmware and the driver, so as far as I can tell, I've exhausted all options in troubleshooting. Help?

Hi, i love the zoom h8. But when i select an effect and then i will connect to my smartphone to record a video with audio interface Stereo Mix pc/mac, then the effect is gone. I don't know what to do, i read the manual, but there is nothing about that. I can only connect to my smartphone without a effect. Do you know why? 😅 Thanks

I can't use my zoom h8 as an audio interface. I connect it to my PC and it doesn't recognize it. I downloaded the drivers for Windows and followed your instructions and I couldn't get it to work with that function. Could you help me solve the problem?

If connecting the h8 to an iPad Pro with USB c ports, will the iPad provide bus power instead of batter power?

Also, is it possible to add compression and noise gate to the mic inputs if using it as an audio interface?

Is there any chance that multitrack recording will be available into an iPad with future firmware updates? Would be great to be able to record multitrack directly to garage band or cubasis

It would be awesome if it connects automatically to the computer.

I have the H4N and I cannot really use it for meetings, as it needs a long time to boot and then I need to activate the connection in the menu manually.
Would be nice if it does that automatically when the computer powers on.

I try to connect H8 to MacBookPro and use it at an audio interface in Wirecast, but it does not come up as an audio source. Any suggestion anybody?

both usb modes; audio interface and sd card reader, are not functioning on my new device. the device do gets current but is not recognized on any computer (pc or mac) with various of different cables. any idea why?
