Hi Everyone, my “Quantum Mechanics for Dummies” video is one of my most popular pieces of content on this channel but at over 20 minutes long it can be a little intimidating to drive straight into so I thought I’d create a shortened version of the video.

These videos are the most informative I've ever seen. Very well done.

Your explanation of Quantum Mechanics was both clear and concise. Well done.
I personally believe that it is important to emphasize that Schroedinger's Cat was a thought experiment. It was never actually performed and no cats were harmed in doing the math.

This is an awesome introduction to the subject!
I can't wait to watch your more detailed ''Quantum Mechanics for Dummies'' video!
Thanks a lot for taking out the esotericism of these subjects! 👌

QM is such an interesting subject and you explained it extremely well and clear here.

I’m lost!
In plain English… basically matter in its purest form is unobserved? The observer affects the observed?

So basically nothing exists and everything exists at the same time

I have never liked that double slit experiment, no one ever tries to explain away ricochet hitting the edges of the slits, and i hate that schrodinger's cat thing... because I don't think it was ever meant to be "an analogy to help people understand" (which is what people assume you are conveying) but it is just a ridiculous contrived story of why no one could ever actually understand the idea... since a proper analogy can't even be thought up

i think this answers the chicken and the egg debate. in the beginning of time, both the acorn and the tree that made its acorn existed at the same time.. and so, both were first. life was always and never there until it was first observed then collapsed into the present reality.

This is how my stupid mind understand it.

For example a rock.
We all know that rock is solid. But in the quantum world it is both hollow and solid. So when a decided to break the stone to know whether it is solid or hollow, it becomes solid.

If that's how it works, i will be proud to myself for gaining 1 point IQ.

I used to think some people actually believed von Neumann–Bernays–Gödel set theory (NBG) was a true model of set theory whose's formal system is stronger than Zermelo–Fraenkel set theory with the axiom of choice (ZFC). I now think it turns out that NBG is used as a short cut for determining when a statement describable in ZFC is a theorem of ZFC, because it has been shown that every statement describable in ZFC is a theorem of ZFC if and only if it is a theorem of NBG. I think the same goes for quantum mechanics. Maybe the theory is consistent with observations but that doesn't mean it's a true theory. The theory predicts that what's really going on just simulates the classical physics we observe. If we can't see what's really going on, how do we know what's really going on isn't something totally different that also simulates the classical physics we observe? Even if that is so, the theory we use can be treated like NBG and we pretend it's true because it works for making predictions about what we will observe.

How the hell is the cat alive and dead at the same time? And why didn't I finish the movie I was just watching right now?
