Matt, Best clonezilla video I've seen. Straight forward, precise.
 Because of some other, long, confusing (because of rambling, and using different terms) videos out there, it's no wonder some people are scared of this excellent software.

I use Clonezilla all the time to image the computers I work on. The one thing Clonezilla won't do is downward clone a drive OR if you image downward to another drive. You have to have the drive you are cloning to the same size or bigger.
The only program that will downward clone the drive is Acronis True Image.
It's not a free program but it has worked for me for a long time.
Making weekly backups is a must.

Thanks, Matt. That was a very clear demonstration. I'm currently choosing between several different backup utilities and that's what brought me here. Clonezilla looks pretty simple and easy. I like that alot.

Could have gone through the differences between boot from usb stick and disc.
Critically how to set the computer up to boot from a disc. Not everybody knows this.
Also how to download Clonezilla onto either stick or disc for dummies.
Plus less face and a bit more screen shot please.
But excellent overall. Much better than any other explanation I have seen.

Thank you. Independence! All my software works in 8.1 and no subscription... I like 8.1. Been to the major computer sellers, companies and cant get a machine built with 8.1 and with 3-4 TB drive, memory 32 GB... for fast work, business, video... 1st time doing this. I will study so I get it right. Do you recommend best 3-4 TB drive and memory that fits Dell, and 8.1? I love the way you can type without looking at the keys!

Nice clear video Matt. Great job! However I decided to just buy a Sabrent dual hard drive clone unit. Which was 10xs faster. 2 buttons pushed and walk away! Cost less than a 128gb usb too. Hope to watch more videos from you!

Also, I did not know about the serial number on the hard drive, I've always used the brand or memorized the order I had put them on the machine to orient myself. Thank god I never had to use two HD's from the same brand. Thanks again!
