Tipp No. 8 does no longer work with Patch 1.2.1 - the interaction of autosmelt and Luck has been disabled. (Not unexpected though)

Expert pack and high-end players required yet starts with explaining NEI basics of R and U. LOLZ. However the Backspace mention is good because I find most people don't know that

Actually Additions Fluid Laser Relay is early game and better far better than faucets. You can make it once you have an Efab Tank and the Atomic Reconstructor.

Other tip, its for fight mobs: The battlesign, created whit a cactus part, (tinkers mod weapon) in your secondary hand, do the damage of the weapon you have in your primary hand, to any mob who hit you (even if you block the hit, in case of melee atacks). You can go and fight thousands of mob and the only you need its put your back in a wall equip your sword and your battlesign and hold right click, seconds later, all mobs who attacks you, die, and you no take any damage (sorry for my poor english)

Early on Copper is extremely accessible. *Build your tools with at least one copper part and it will grant exp from mining things that normally don't.* The recipe for the enchanting table hasn't changed much, so using enchantments on lower quality (iron) gear isn't the waste it used to be. This will make surviving that first trip into the nether a lot easier.

When you get the press running, building an XP Drain will let you automate the storing of exp (as liquid xp) for use with the Auto Enchantment Table, and the Auto Anvil. This is important because Auto Anvil bypasses the maximum number of enchantments gear can have (and it's convoluted system of maximizing enchantments by minimizing anvil usage). These enchantments will be most notably useful for armor, but they will _also_ bring basic tools back into play.

At about the time you get the Tool Forge, you should also be able to get the Auto Anvil. This allows you to diversify the job of your tools. For example: a slime hammer built to clear large quantities of stone (with bronze for exp), and an enchanted diamond pickaxe (potentially with mending), for clearing the valuable veins.

Using this free exp

The spice of life can easily be skirted just by eating 5 berries in a row, which resets all food. Then eat your steak or baked potatoes or whatever and then eat 5 more berries and it resets again, etc
