It is so crazy to me that people upload something so detailed and in such length to YouTube (a free platform). From the bottom of my heart, I thank you!

Is it just me or does anyone else watch historical documentaries to lull them to sleep

Documentaries like this blow my mind. Not 50 years ago you would need to pay college tuition to find such quality work presented in such a scholarly fashion. This channel is one of many that have fundamentally improved and increased this collective pool of knowledge we all take for granted. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

EDIT: Yes, books exist. Not my point. We now have a larger pool of knowledge and an easier way to access it. If you prefer books, good for you. Go ahead and read one

I love Celtic culture. We will never know much about it since, history is written by the conquerors, and this was Rome.

Romans: "These Druid sacrifices are barbaric!"
Also Romans: "Ahhhh i love watching one man fight 5 lions in a pit on a Friday evening!"

No one comes to YouTube to watch commercials. You deserve some kind if trophy for putting so few ads in a video of this length. Very well done by the way!

This is my new bedtime story, I'm going to get through it a little at a time and be rewatching a lot. I kind of love that we have people who care to work on big, quality, free documentaries

this helped me so much with my research paper I was having a hard time finding primary sources from Greece and Rome and this presentation not only made everything easier for me to understand, but also lead me in the right direction for more research. I greatly appreciate the work you put into this it was very educational and thank you so much for sharing this.

During the day, I listen to this to enrich my knowledge, but at night I use it for sleep. Weird how it succeeds in both tasks perfectly.

What I like about documentaries on the internet: they are presented in a calm and professional way to give a sense of seriousness on the one hand, on the other hand the videos show pictures with credit to 'Agent-Bunny-Boy'.

That aside thank you for sharing all the effort of your research with us!

I remember when YouTube first came out. It was such a novelty thing, and seemed like just another avenue for content.

Fast forward to today, and we are getting what would amount to a 3 part documentary series on a syndicated network for free and in high quality.

I adore these videos. No silly yourube humor or jump cuts. It’s nice to learn something on yourube without being treated like a teenager with no attention span. No fluff here, just good stuff

As we all know, the Gaelic Druids knew to brew a potion potent enough, to power a punch that separates a Roman legionnare from his sandals.

That's why i love internet sometimes, here we've got a high quality content. Thank you for your work, it is far better than any TV documentary.

Regards, from France.

It must have been a common sight, Druids falling out of trees.

48:27 "Death is not the last thing, it is the least thing. It is but a cobweb we pass through as we journey from this life to the next." - some Druid, probably

What I really like about history and topics such as these, is that it puts later accounts of different events in perspective. The Romans, despite the barbarity within their culture, considered the druids and their rites to be an affront to their way of life, often exaggerating their so called "misdeeds" in writing. Such practices never really went away, and now we severely lack records about the Norse, or the Balts, Cathars, Gnostics, Manicheans, Aztec, Mayans, etc, and their traditions, as the dominant culture wrote very biasedly about them, centuries after their destruction. This led to the perverse belief that persists to this day about these forgotten cultures and ways of life being "savage and barbaric." So much history and culture, heritage, all lost to the passage of time...

And here I thought Druids were just a Dungeons and Dragons class. It’s very intriguing that a Druid ended up becoming a regular video game playable class that portrays them as hermits who live in the forests and use forces of nature.

Thank you for consistently providing the source material for us to read and comprehend on our own. This practice greatly enhances our understanding of the subject matter.
