The Phantom of the Opera Global Edition is a streaming release made up of eight discs including complete soundtracks in seven foreign languages: Korean (2009), Polish (2008), Hungarian (2003), Mexican Spanish (2000), German (1990), Swedish (1989) and Japanese (1988). Each of these albums were released at the time of recording, but are now presented together on one album, digitally for the first time.

Since the show premiered in 1986, the demand for local language recording has been huge. This new Global Edition of The Phantom of the Opera will allow a lot of fans to enjoy the show in their native language and give everybody the opportunity to explore the music and hear the iconic songs in a whole new light.

The musical opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. The Phantom of the Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End, after more than 11,000 performances and is the longest running show in Broadway history.

When I first heard this score years ago I was simply blown away ... now years later i'm still blown away hearing it again no mater what language I hear it in. The stage production, which I've seen 3 times, is one of the most magnificent and astounding theatrical experiences I have ever witnessed in my life. Hi Andrew, my boyfriend has been a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera since he was 11 years old. He’s 32 now and we flew from California to NYC last week to see Phantom of the Opera and it was my gift for him. We both sobbed to death while watching it. Thanks for making an amazing show. The songs. Every time hit me there just amazing. My grandma went to one of the first shows and before she died I got to take her again (even tho we both seen it over 10 times before) it will always be the best show as it reminds me of her.
