From Phantom of The Opera at the Royal Albert Hall (2011): In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, Cameron Mackintosh produced a unique, spectacular staging of the musical on a scale which had never been seen before. Sierra does such a wonderful job of portraying Christine’s nervousness in her voice when she first sings! The switch to the strong, confident voice near the middle of the song is absolutely breathtaking!

At this point, they should just permanently release the musical, like come on

Headcanon (only because it's not explicitly stated): Madame Giry secretly helped Christine rehearse this because she hates Carlotta, and when Christine tries to run away she's like 'don't act like you're bad, we both know that's bullshit, now sing the damn song'

Sierra is one of the most talented performers I’ve ever seen. Her singing voice and the way that she acts is insane!!

Sierra is just exceptional in this role.

But can we also talk about Hadley? As Raoul, he looks so adorable here! So happy to have seen his childhood friend after so many years. His expression is just so cute, especially when the managers scolded him for clapping in the middle of the performance.

PotO 25 is just perfection.

My daughter is auditioning for the part of Christine for Broadway this week. Cant tell you what its like to hear her sing that song live in my house. Hope she gets a shot. She's amazing. (thanks for letting me brag a bit).

They're uploading this entire musical song by song, and they're doing that for us. Legends.

I love how there are layers of meaning in this song: It is first the song from the opera about the fall of Carthago - the soon-to-be fallen queen singing. For Raul it's a song from his childhood friend - asking him to remeber her. And it's also the Phantom's song for Christine - asking her to think of him fondly when she's far away and free. The only one this song doesn't speak for is Christine herself, hence the remark from Meg: "The words aren't yours"

Being named ‘Christine’ listening to this soundtrack is both terrifying and really good for my self esteem

I now realise why Sierra is my favourite Christine. She has this special, sweet quality to her voice that captures Christine’s innocence, youth, vulnerability and inexperience, while still being powerful and impactful.

A lot of talented stars have played Christine, with most singing the score as a legit, seasoned soprano. Which is still beautiful, but it doesn’t fit the character as well.

Can we all appreciate how Raoul said "Brava" correctly?
(In Opera, you say "Bravo" for a male performer and "Brava" for a female performer.)
Bravo, Hadley and brava Sierra! 👏👏👏

I like when madame giry hits the floor with her caine, it perfectly shows her character, she is passionate for the performing arts, she is tough and strict but for good reasons, she is only like that because she wants Christine to succeed in this business since she knows how hard that is

CHRISTINE:
Think of me, think of me fondly
When we've said goodbye
Remember me every so often
Promise me you'll try

On that day
That not so distant day
When you are far away and free
If you ever find a moment
Spare a thought for me

FIRMIN:
Madame! Monsieur!

CHRISTINE:
And though it's clear
Though it was always clear
That this was never meant to be
If you happen to remember
Stop and think of me

Think of August
When the world was green
Don't think about the way
Things might have been

Think of me, think of me waking
Silent and resigned
Imagine me trying too hard
To put you from my mind

Think of me
Please say you'll think of me
Whatever else you choose to do
There will never be a day
When I won't think of you

RAOUL:
Can it be?
Can it be Christine?
Brava! Brava!

Long ago
It seems so long ago
How young and innocent we were
She may not remember me
But I remember her

CHRISTINE:
Flowers fade
The fruits of summer fade
They have their seasons, so do we
But please promise me that sometimes
you will think
Of me
