Smoked Shotgun Shells --ARE THEY WORTH IT?

Показать описание
Smoked shotgun shells are super popular right now… so much so that I had to go to 4 different grocery stores to find manicotti noodles. But are the smoked stuffed shotgun shells actually worth making on your smoker? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
I stuffed my manicotti noodles with a mix of ground beef and ground sausage, shredded pepper jack and sharp cheddar cheeses, and my favorite barbecue seasonings. I also added in a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce and a steak sauce for added flavor. Next, I wrapped each stuffed manicotti noodle in bacon and put them on a sheet tray. Then, I covered them in plastic wrap and let them refrigerate overnight so that the moisture from the ground meats and bacon would help to soften the pasta.
The next day, I smoked the stuffed shotgun shells on my Pit Boss Navigator smoker at about 300 degrees for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Then I basted them with barbecue sauce and let them cook at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes.
And the verdict on the smoked shotgun shells? It’s still out… You’ll have to make them and see if they deserve a spot in your smoker recipes rotation.
