To target enemy ships: 1 targets whatever you're looking at. 3 targets nearest enemy. 5 cycles all targets. 2 will target subsystems of the ship you've targeted.

best guide ever, you just forgot to mention the stalling lack of any content that works, the constant bugs, disconects and preventions from engaging with basic mechanics in the game like, opening doors, getting your shipped from bugged terminals, bugging while doing pickup missions, the map not working at all, getting one shotted by AI, loosing your weapon and everything you bought, and wasting ridicoulus amounts of money on 4 game loops that doesnt work, and requires you to carry burgers to not get one shotted by hunger and thirst that you cant stash in your non working backpack that you dont have.
being allowed to waste your time mining to get out of prison where you get due to bugs anyway or doing basic quests, is like being allowed to get raped after doing someone a favor.
