I've had the Genki Covert Switch Dock for quite some time. The fact that it functions without being plugged in (as long as the device is willing to provide power to it over USB-C) is new to me. Can't believe I never tried it (even accidentally). Awesome!

I was one of the early backers on the Whipr kickstarter and got the base unit, rowing seat, and all the accessories for $400 so if you were one of the backers it was pretty much similar to what other companies were charging for rowing machines except this was portable and can fold up and fit just about anywhere. Was so happy that it wasnt a scam though cause I really needed a portable rowing machine that wasn't $1k.

9:46 LOL I love that. YEP. This is an awesome thing that Genki don't really advertise about the covert dock. I have used it so many times UNpowered to i.e. get my phone screen on a TV or as a makeshift USB-A OTG solution. It's pretty sick.

The only issue with the Covert Dock is that some TVs stretch the signal and cut out/crop a tiny bit of content along all the edges. Easy to miss but annoying once you notice it! PC monitors usually handle it great, though.
