Throwing Hayes and Grzelcyk with Crosby on PP 1 is a crime..

Hey DK love the show.. maybe next time you’re in the locker room you could show Jarry what a hockey puck looks like.. maybe then he could block a shot or two. I swear he’s the Hellen Keller of goalies. How long do we have to endure his subpar play?? And why is he in net yet again?? Have we not lost enough yet? Is Sullivan too comfortable he wants us fans riled up calling for head again?? I’m baffled

Regarding the 4th line, They are not leftovers. They need to be competent. It's not that they have to survive out there, they need to be able to set up the next line coming on the ice for success. I think this is why I hate the necessary evil of dumping the puck, it's like they are giving up.

Cmon, it works both ways - your goaltenders are paranoid waiting for the inevitable incompetent multiple 2-on-1s every single period.

When both goaltenders have the same save % it's almost always the play in front of them.

Acciari and Hayes aren't going anywhere. If you know anything about the economics of the NHL, they are both signed to guaranteed contracts through 2026. And since he returned from injury, Blake Lizotte has been more productive than Crosby and Malkin... maybe that's a problem. I don't know. But the 4th line isn't the problem. The problem continues to be the blueline and the goaltending. And that problem was created by the GM and the contracts he has either signed or traded for over the past two offseasons.

the WBS Pens are far more productive. I watch highlights of those games and it makes me wonder why this pattern continues.

"Nice" to hear your finally starting to loose it with Sullys decisions. Can we now start to imagine that he actually is not an amazing coach seeing as nearly all the penguins issues are line up, sysyem or motivation related? This is just like Bylsma era 2.0 with Craig Adams getting more ice time than Geno.
If Sully won't wake up and Dubas isnt allowed to fire him (presumably) force a change. Waivers -Jarry, gryzlick, hayes, nieto call up blomquist (to start not sit) and since sully is unwilling to play guys like poulin in the top 6 where he has played his entire life just bring up bokko, gruden etc and tell them they get 6 minutes a game, achari on the wing and whichever of them has the fewest hits sits next game. Is that good hockey? No. Will it maybe wake this team the ---- up? Maybe?... if you want fans to support you through these transition years you have to at least pretend to give a ----.

Blomqvist isn't going to fix this, he had 2 games over .900 in his last 5 starts in the NHL... no goalie is going to win consistently behind this horrific defense.

What about energy? I'll tell you this DK. This whole entire 2024-25 season is shaping up to be a microcosm of whataboutism.🙄

Goaltending I get needing to make saves. I'm not taking that away. Been A LOT of SOFT goals given up. But I certainly don't envy the goaltenders and what they usually have to deal with game after game. The 5 in front of them make some bone headed plays game after game. These guys could easily be hovering around .900 and around 3.00 GAA without the garbage in front of them.

Patrick Laine is on good momentum now in Montreal, have to look him.

2016 world Junior championship when Finns beat Russians from Kasperi Kapanen overtime goal were Finland first line Puljujärvi-Aho-Laine.

Why not put Bunting and Lizzote with Sid, they are the perfect bangers and crashers he given the chance are better finishers. That would put rust and Rakell down with DOC and now you may have a potent third line who is competing against team's lower calibre players. In most games the line one doesn't match up with other teams', especially 5 on 5. I know 17 is loved but lets be serious, he is a third line mucker on any other top team, and Rakell has so many looks with so little finish. Time for some changes that will never happen.

When's DOC gonna stop fanning on shots?

This team badly needs a physical presence/energy guy. It will never happen, but they should call up Boko. If they're gonna have guys who don't score on the 4th line, I'd rather have Boko throwing his weight around than Matt Nieto skating around aimlessly.

Don’t take this comment as a “throw away the season/tank, etc” but how is the 2025 draft class shaping up? I know we have like 9 or 10 picks right? Something to look forward to
