I'm in America and have been hacked many, many times. After the 1st time, I put a Freeze on all of my Credit reports. My bank was hacked, my aptartment complex's network, my phone, one of my checking accounts, but i was called by my bank asking me if i just bought something in San Franciso and I said NO. The changed my account asap. I constantly get word my info is at risk due to something I'm connected to. I consider myself very poor and have nothing. I can assure you Biden, FBI, CIA will be doing nothing here in America. I happens everyday.

The gateways should be blocked to countries who are harbouring cyber criminals.

Katherine Mansted gave some of the sharpest and most eloquent interview answers I have ever seen. You can even see the admiration in Amelia's face. Bright mind, indeed.

So just create and memorize 257 different, unique passwords and you'll be ok.

If giant-sized organizations and all their staff can't keep their data safe, what hope have we individuals?

Like Kit Boga. Have you ever seen him in action on YouTube? He's amazing. He baits scammers by creating a fake account, complete with a persona of an elderly grandmother, and a whole fake online bank account as well. He hacks the scammers so he can expose their accounts.

None of us are safe today be it ATM theft, cybersecurity breeches. Makes me wonder how safe will self driving vehicles be ?

Now that the online world is a vital part of our lives every individual must become familiar with basic online safety. Financial institutions are (or will be) stepping back from accepting total responsibility when 'stuff happens' and either we lose money or our online identity is used for fraud. Corporations and Government could certainly do more. 20+ years in cybersecurity has taught me that, but from now on the responsibility must be shared and all of us need to up our game.

I was hacked a year ago. PayPal was part of it, too. I learned that there are two divisions in PayPal, a legitimate side and scam operators.

It should be made mandatory, every online user must take every step to prevent this from happening

Why did PayPal allow so many transaction go through her account knowing her usage history. I’ve had my PayPal account locked after a single transaction in the past, total over reaction from PayPal.

I'm actually fighting a similar case with PayPal. I had an old account I hadn't used in years and forgot about hacked and used for scam transactions. Ive been fighting with PayPal all month to fix things and shut down the account. Luckily I caught it after only a few transactions within a couple of days and was able to lock it so now no one can use the account anymore while the investigation goes on.

If they want to protect Australians they should start by demanding the release of Julian Assange!
