Breaking his silence for the first time since he admitted lying to ITV , his lawyers, his wife and co-star of 14 years about the 'unwise, but not illegal' relationship with his junior colleague, Schofield admitted he 'should have known better'. He’s only sorry because he’s been caught out.
His own actions have caused him to feel the way he does. Nobody else’s.
He’s sat on the sofa for years, speaking to ‘influential’ people who’ve been brave. Gone through being groomed, assulted etc. He sat there with his sympathetic face on and interviewed those people but behind closed doors he was the perpetrator. How embarrassing.

He has kids and all he sees is "blackness and sadness" this man has no care for anyone but himself and whatever he does now is on him. No one should be forced to feel guilty for having the opinion of thinking he has done wrong when he has.

Too many people are focusing on Schofield which is understandable but lets not forgot Holly and those at ITV who let this guy carry on for years. They knew what went on but backed him until it all came out to the public. They are trying to distance themselves now though to save their own skin. Its actually quite sickening to watch

He needs leaving alone now. He's lost everything & no matter how many numpties want it to be true, he hasn't done anything illegal. Society is so full of vultures with no self awareness. It's all high & mighty, judge, jury & executioner, when no crime has been commited. If there was one, the press would be reporting differently & the police would have arrested him & they have not. ITV higher ups need to be investigated as to why they handled this so badly & then let's all move the hell on.
