Thanks. File Explorer went bonkers on my PC today and I couldn't get out of the Quick Access loop. Now I have, thanks to you - not the jackasses at MS..

Thanks Brad; how about the top horizontal bar highlighting the window of the windows Explorer. It used to be blue but now it is white. How to make return blue ?

Changing from "Quick Access" to "This PC" fixed my greyed out problem. So weird, but it works.

Thank you, it was driving me mad. One day file explorer just changed and I could only see the view I wanted by right clicking and opening a new window.

Does this require reboot. Doesn't work quick access takes about 5 mins to run each time file explorer opens'

It was so simple in XP. Just "Apply to all folders", then click "Apply" and "OK".
