Hi Jon. I think about learning ML&Data science as a SOC analyst. What do you think about worthiness of it in the future? Can apply ML in cybersecurity? Thanks Happy New Year

CCNA - CyberOps Associate if you're looking towards SOC analyst jobs, or CCNA - CCNP (SCOR) if you're looking for a Network Security Engineer jobs, this path is far more superior, hands on technical than any Comptia Certifications, Stackable or whatever.

I'm currently doing CCNA and I chose CCNA over Network+ the reason If I only learn Network+ it will take less effort because there are no Cisco devices and configuration but in the real world in your job, you will encounter Cisco devices so why not ccna after this I will go for juniper certification so I have comprehensive knowledge about devices that I might or likely meeting in my job that my opinion
ps: sorry for my bad English

I do not have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. I want to opt for an entry-level cybersecurity analyst job. Which certifications do you recommend?

Will security+ open a door to me for a entry level cybersecurity job?

Technically Cybersecurity is a subfield or specialty with in the I.T field. I wouldn't considered sperate from I.T. Thats like saying Cloud Engineering is separate from I.T when it's actually a specialty. Even Software Engineers are part of the I.T field too. I do agree that a CCNA isn't really needed in Cybersecurity since its designed for people going into the networking field that would strictly work with Cisco products. Network+ is really all the networking knowledge you need esp for DevOps, Cloud, sysadmin roles.

It depends, I live in a 3rd world country, and If you have that certification and a couple of courses from Udemy, you are perfect for an middle range job.

Are you planning on doing network security? Then yes. If you are not, then probably not.
