This is a bit of a different style video, so I hope you enjoy! We had Bruce Becker out to our studio to film some great new content and I wanted to capture some behind-the-scenes chats we had during the whole process.

I greatly appreciate the wisdom of sage teachers like Mr. Bruce Becker. Like many drummers, I learned rudiments, then drum set rhythms and got by on really sketchy and ultimately destructive technique, both physically and psychologically, that greatly hampered my facility and development and threatened my lifelong pursuit of an activity that gives me so much joy. I know this stuff is so hard to hear and it's so hard to slow down and get your technique sorted out when you're young but I truly hope every young drummer at all talent/skill levels can get their head wrapped around this stuff as it would only greatly enrich their experience of playing drums for decades to come.

I was wondering how you were going to handle the walkers coming down the path. Well done.

Bruce Becker is great what a player and teacher! The effortless flow he has developed its amazing. I love the way he teaches such a calming voice he immediately grabs your attention with his clear explanation of technique.

Hello! Please bring this back. It’s the best. The hang is where it’s at.

Bruce Becker, a very wise man and a great I've followed him and changed my hand technique. His ideas when applied contribute to more musical, legato notes and playing. I somewhat think along those lines lately about my drumming: not in terms faster, louder, but in terms of legato, subdivisions, and dynamics, whether rhythmical or thoughts are really guidelines for better playing, , , ,

This is a great video. There are many ways to talk and teach/learn drumming without drums just like talking about maths without calculating.

While I love the lessons, these conversations are just as valuable. Definitely add these “behind the scenes” on a more regular basis.

Your unironic Columbia jacket was my favourite part. Yay, nostalgia! I miss you, Canada.

Are you talking about Neil Peart, with the first problem? I am just a novice at drums. i play for enjoyment of hitting things. kind of a stress relief, haha. but i did develop tennis elbow in both elbows after a while. these days i play more with my wrists and fingers. i don't play as much as before, but the problem seems to be under control.

Neil Peart is the perfect example of what they are talking about. Great, unique player that plays with a lot of tension and (for most of his professional career) played "into" the drums. Neil did go to Freddie late in life but it's like a football player that abuses his body early in life that pays the price when he gets older.

This is great. I've realized since discovering Drumeo that after 17 years of drumming, I've had to fix just about everything I'm doing. Lol
