Canada sending 80K unarmed rockets to Ukraine in latest aid package

Canada plans to send 80,840 surplus small unarmed air-to-surface rockets to Ukraine in the coming months, as well as 1,300 warheads.

Defence Minister Bill Blair made the announcement while in Germany for a meeting of Ukrainian defence allies.

Canada announced an initial shipment of 2,160 unarmed CRV7 rockets in June. Each CRV7 can be equipped with warheads designed to variously hit buildings, tanks or soldiers.

Canada will also donate chassis assemblies from 29 M113 armored personnel caries and 64 Coyote armored cars, which the Canadian armed forces are no longer using, Blair said.

The DND ministry can spend 4 billion on military aide packages and millions on aircraft transport to the Ukraine and around the world. Great work Canada. I hope we have advisors in Ukraine to learn drone warfare from them. The Arctic will be fought over with drones some day, not traditional warships. Canada has an industrial capacity that is only surpassed by America and a few others. We can make drone swarms faster and better than most if we need to. All it takes is learning from the Ukrainians how to use them the best way when the time comes.
