As rightly pointed out USA has no enemies in its neighborhoods.Canada, Mexico, The West Indies countries, etc are all friendly countries and not at all a threat to USA.We in India have an immediate threat just next door, namely nuclear armed Pakistan and China.Therefore we are forced to be on our toes, 24x7 and must have much much more manpower, much much more arms and ammunition than what even America requires.
Today in Kashmir J&K state police has remarkably fought against these terrorists by being in the forefront.Of course Indian army supports J& K police, but today state police is more and more involved in eliminating terrorists on its own.

Personnel. In the two World Wars, great number of Army men fought bravely and also in the several wars on both
