Your hand is covering anyone’s ability to actually see the contacts being made. I know it’s a fine point but if no one’s done this before it’s nice to be able to see. All I can see is the back of your hand

What is the name of the black plastic piece that is mounted in the gray metal box (it has the metal CB mounting connections) ? And can I buy just that black piece with the connectors on it? QO2-4L70RB is mine.

I have a main panelboard which includes the meter and the main disconnect for 200 amps. This box has room for only 8 breakers but also has pass-thru lugs at the bottom of the box. These pass-thru lugs carry power (200 amps) to a subpanel. The main panelboard as well as the subpanel are Square D. Do I install the whole house surge protector in the main panelboard or the subpanel or both. Please advise.

The denial feature on the QO plug on neutral breakers does NOT work on older ( late 70s) QO load centers. The clip rail is metallic, but not part if the neutral bus bar. FYI

Just realizing one could use one of these breakers to determine a fault on a neutral run. These also overcome the shortcoming of "connecting all the neutrals together into one big circuit", which was a poor design from its inception, but has finally been overcome with these type breakers...

As for the GFCI on the plug-on, why would you need a pigtail if its already sitting on the neutral?

This is a car with a carburetor. This is a car with fuel injection. Thank you. (no explanation of why this is a thing.)

Hi. Can you please explain why someone would choose one or the other? Ty.

Do you have a plug on neutral 50 Amp breaker? I only see the standard option.

I'm not seeing how plug on neutrals save time in installation.
You still need to connect neutral (white) wire to something, right?

So older breakers can be used in the newer plug on style

Good thing they just recalled all of these. Now I don’t have anymore techs buying the wrong breakers. Lol

Ok, now I can tell the difference, but I still don't know WHY. But it looks to me that plug on neutral provides a neutral plug for each breaker, to support arc fault and gfci breakers.
