Somfy Remote Programming - step by step for your Retractable Awning.
Показать описание
Step #1:
Locate the receptacle where the Somfy Motor, for your Retractable Awning, is plugged into.
Step #2:
Unplug the cord for 3 seconds.
Plug it in for 10 seconds.
Unplug it again for 3 seconds.
Then, plug it in - this will cause the Retractable Awning to make a movement (jerking in and out).
Step #3:
On the back of your remote control, press the small button and hold until your Retractable Awning jerks in and out TWICE, then release the button. This usually takes about 20 seconds, so keep the button pressed down until it jerks in and out 2 times.
Step #4:
Turn your remote control over and press UP and DOWN buttons and the same time, until your Retractable Awning jerks in and out. After it jerks in and out release the buttons.
***After you have completed the first few steps, now you have to check the orientation of the command buttons. We want to make sure that the UP button retracts the Awning IN and the DOWN button retracts the Awning OUT.
Step #5:
Now that the motor is in programming mode it is time to check the orientation of the command buttons. Press UP, if the Awning retracts IN then you can proceed to step number 7. If the UP button retracts the Awning OUT then proceed to step number 6.
Step #6:
To reverse the orientation and correct the direction of the command buttons press the middle button (MY) and hold until the Retractable jerks in and out. At this time test the orientation by pressing UP (IN) and DOWN (OUT). If the Retractable Awning is moving in the correct directions then proceed to step number 7. If it is not then please repeat the previous steps.
***Now that we have everything in place, it is time to program the limits on your motor. Limits are stopping points for your Retractable Awning and should be done so that your Awning does not retract in or out too much.
Step #7:
Press DOWN (OUT) button and retract the Awning out until you have about a 1/4" gap on the back of the lateral arms joint (elbow). This is the place where the arms break and fold as the Retractable Awning retracts in and out. Usually, you can see a chain, or a belt that holds tension. This will be your OUTER position.
Step #8:
To program your Outer position, press UP (IN) button and MIDDLE (MY) button at the same time. You will notice the Awning retracting IN. After it starts moving you can release the buttons and let it retract IN until you have about a foot left of fabric to retract. To stop it just press the middle button (MY) and it will stop. After it stops we want to bring it in to our desired INNER position, so press UP (IN) button little by little and bring the Awning in until you see only about 1 inch of fabric left.
Step #9:
Once you have it set in the upper position, press and hold the DOWN (OUT) and middle button (MY) at the same time until you see the awning retracting out, then release the buttons. Let it retract out about 2 feet and press the middle button (MY) to stop it. At this point the outer limit and the inner limit have been programmed. Now it's time to save the programmed limits.
Step #10:
To save the programmed limits press and hold the middle button (MY) and keep holding until the awning moves in and stops by itself. After the Awning stops in it's inner position please release the button and move to the next step.
Step #11:
Turn the remove over to the back side and press and hold the little button, until the Retractable Awning jerks. This will tell you that the motor is now ready to be used.
Step #12:
Test your Retractable Awning by pressing DOWN (OUT) button once and let it retract out until it stops on its own. After it stops press the UP (IN) button and let it retract until it stops.
Enjoy your Retractable Awning. You're done :)
