Yep, that’s right, in this episode I am actually going to be making a somewhat complicated PCB, all just to turn a UV exposer lamp on and off.. Want to know how that is even possible? Then make sure you watch this video!!!

Without doubt the most over engineered UV lamp
Enclosure switch on YT…. I absolutely love
It!! Really enjoying your videos, very inspirational thanks.

FYI, the ATTINY microcontrollers support use of the RESET pin as additional IO, which can be toggled back for programming via fuse manipulation, or "Applying a HV pulse to the RESET pin will switch the pin functionality to UPDI" (often 12V is referenced for this).

Cool stuff!

Your method for cutting a hole in your shield is kinda... bonkers - the char buildup you experience could seriously damage the laser since it's stuck in there with the fumes. Instead you could block the end of the funnel with a piece of black paper/card. That way it's way less material to cut through?

I have all my uv panels built but haven't made a box yet

I am shifting my PCB making methods from milling to this Laser / Etch method after seeing your results. I have the exact same 3018 and laser so I am hoping I can achieve something similar.

Any chance you could share you final Laser Settings (speed and power), for the Etch passes, and the pad clearing?

When I was doing the milling method I was having trouble with the pad clearing. It would remove the UV paint, but there was sometimes a thin layer of something that i'd have to scrape off
