Dividend Investment - March Update
Показать описание
Hey everyone! 👋 Welcome back to the Dividend Video Series! In this video, I tell you how much money I made on my channel in February and then discuss how much money I made in my investments.
Once I go over that info, I update the Excel file from last months video which we read into a pandas data frame to calculate the gains of any portfolio. Next, I adjust some of the previous code, and then show you how to make a quick simple plot! Check it out and let me know how your stocks did in February, or let me know if you want more python videos in the comments below! 👍
Video Series description:
What I’ve done is...I’ve invested 💸$10,000 💸into dividend stocks. Now dividend stocks are stocks that give you a cash return either monthly or quarterly (the schedule varies) based on how many shares of that stock you own. And as opposed to taking the cash, I’m going to automatically reinvest it buying fractional shares of the stock that the dividend came from.
Now, I’m no financial expert, just a numbers person🤓. So this is not advice on how to invest your money or where to invest it. Ultimately, money is math. This is simply going to be a video series where I collect real financial data based on a portfolio that I personally created, and we are going to see how it grows (Now this is a math and programming channel so we are going to be doing some data visualization and other such things along the way!)
And to make it more interesting, each month I will invest more money into my portfolio, and not just any money, but the money I make on this YouTube channel throughout the year. 📅 So as an added extra, you will be able to see how much money I make on this channel every single month.
Just to be consistent, I’ll release each dividend video on the 15th of the month. So don’t forget to subscribe and stay tuned for the next video!
