I also like kosem but at end she was addicted to power. She should have given her the position of naiba to turhan no matter she was experience less because when kosem became walida sultan murad was very young and she wasn't having any experience as naiba.

I am a Turk and I am from Turkey. My Muslim brothers, please do not write bad comments about Turhan Sultan because Turhan Sultan is a very reputable person for us Turks. Don't believe everything you watch in the Magnificent Century Kösem and don't watch that series full of lies. Do not watch the series Magnificent Century and Kösem Sultan. Those serials are completely false and do not reflect the real history. Turhan Sultan is known as the best woman in Ottoman history. All Turkish Ottoman historians love and appreciate Turhan Sultan very much. They tarnished the image of Turhan Sultan in the series. Don't believe the series.

As a religious Turk who knows Ottoman history very well, I love Turhan Sultan more than Kösem Sultan. Kösem Sultan was also a religious Ottoman sultan, but unfortunately Kösem Sultan was suffering from power poisoning and she was in love with power. She loved to rule the Ottoman Empire very much, so she planned to poison and dethrone her own grandson, Mehmed, in order to neutralize Turhan Sultan, her daughter-in-love whom she thought was ambitious. I don't like Kösem Sultan because Kösem Sultan tried to kill her own grandson.


Turhan Sultan ruled the Ottoman Empire as an official regent between 1651 and 1656. She was a very religious, not ambitious woman who was very fond of the high interests of the Ottoman Empire. She found a very powerful vizier and transferred her powers to him, and she sacrificed herself to withdraw from the office of regency. Turhan Sultan extended the life of the Ottoman Empire by transferred her powers to the viziers from the Köprülü family.
