I don't think Americans are good at writing Regency Romances. There are only a handful of Dukes, Viscounts, Earls and Marquises in the UK and by the time they inherit their titles they would probably be middle aged. Also the British are no more the good guys than the French the bad guys in the Napolionic wars. It should be noted that America sided with the French.
