Cross-training employees is a smart move, especially right now. Let's face it, most companies don't cross-train employees. But here are three compelling reasons that might make you reconsider if yours doesn't.

Through conference keynotes and (in-person or virtual) team workshops, Galen transforms how teams and leaders approach and establish culture, and the way people communicate and treat each other at work. He has an impressive portfolio of clients including Microsoft, Safeway/Albertsons, and NASA.

Galen’s captivating content teaches how to establish an intentional team culture of high-level engagement and performance, skyrocket leadership ability, skillfully give & receive feedback, and apply the improv concept of “Yes, And” to improve communication and EQ.

Marcus Buckingham suggests that work is a "scavenger hunt for love". Cross-training is a fantastic way to help folks figure out what they're great at and where they can contribute the most. It also keeps folks challenged, learning and growing - a great anecdote for burn-out!

Beep, support local! 🤣 Great message! I supervise a group of trainers and cross training is so important. As you said it helps relieve the feeling of I can't take time off, training will stop, nope we have your back. Also, the professional growth from learning the information the other is training on and so on. I think this can also help to create efficiencies because someone else coming in will have a different perspective and may have a brilliant idea on how to do something differently.

I love that you said abducted by aliens. I describe our process manuals and our cross training as "Alien Abduction Restaffing". This came after my coworkers asked me to stop calling it the "Where'd that bus come from?" plan.

really cross trainng makes u worth less as a employee, this way if u don t do it someone at the company can, only enforces the saying everyone is replaceable, now though companies can t find help and they starting to find the worth of a good employee,
