After consuming about 50+ carnivore videos, my take is this: do carnivore for 30 to 180 days as an elimination diet. Reset the baselines.shed excess weight. Begin exercise. Then introduce 20g of carbs. Assess. 40g. Assess. Find level that makes sense. Introduce foods 1 at a time. Evaluate and assess. Eat only whole foods.

I used to eat carbs and ended up pre diabetic.
Now on carnivore 5 years. Best decision of my life.

Nobody is talking about the real deeper issue at hand. Which is this: US stomachs have a significantly lower variety of bacteria compared to all the rest of the word. There is a study done to the gut flora on Vietnamese immigrants before they arrived to the US, during their new life in the us, and MANY years after they arrived. They found out that over 50% of the guts bacteria they had when they lived in Vietnam disappeared and died. That bacteria they USED to have was what allowed them to EAT RICE WITHOUT BECOMING FAT and other carbohydrates. They also found out that the only food that people in the US were able to digest better (because the only bacteria left in their stomach could help then do that) was meat. Hence, the only reason we need to be almost full carnivore in the US is because they have oversprayed fruits and veggies with deadly components and over fed us antibiotics. The real profound conclusion about all of this is the following: if you want to eat a variety of food without having bad side effects you need to move out of the US because the excess of antibiotics and deadly pesticides like Glyphosate have changed the gut of our entire US population. That’s only the number one reason, there is another information that is extremely important and it once again comes from people who have lived and eaten in a different country and came to the us to eat. That other discovery is the following: our fruits and vegetables have little to no nutritional value IN THE US, because of the over exploitation of farm land. Big Farm industry and Monsanto have literally eliminated the nutrients on most fruits and veggies. Everything is nutrient deficient in the US, except for meat.
I’m planning to move out of here in the future because of the stomach issue and lack of variety in the gut. So I can eat a variety of food fruits and veggies without having terrible side effects

This is one of the best podcasts I've seen so far. Jesse, you did a fantastic job asking real questions and getting to the root of Paul's philosophies. Great job! I follow Paul regularly and I have a far better understanding of how to implement all this into my life. Thanks Paul and Jesse!

I eat 72% ground beef most of the time and even at that I still add butter. I believe my body is craving the fat since most of my life I never ate fat. I feel like I’m coming alive for the first time and I’m well into adulthood!!

Gone meatless and felt sick.
Gone carnivore and felt sick .
My body is designed to eat meat and vegetables at the same time. I feel great.

Great conversation! Love listening to Paul and his reasoning. I’m a recent carnivore and already benefited so much by changing my diet. I recently added about 100g of carbs a day, mostly raw milk, raw kefir and seasonal fruits and honey. So far not feeling as drained during my daily hour workouts and recovering much easily.

I don’t hate you. I think it’s silly for everyone to be so particular. What works for you might work for me or not. Your videos have shown me so much and it doesn’t matter if others are not on the same path

He just eats what he likes. Most kids grew up not liking vegetables so now he's reverted to childhood. Eats meats and fruits. Makes sense to me. However, I'm sticking with the ketogenic diet. It has kept me away from doctors and hospital for many, many years. I went on the ketogenic diet BEFORE it became popular... way back when it was used only for epileptic patients. I lost 80 pounds the first year (all I needed to lose) and have kept it off all this time. Have not had as much as a cold or even a headache since that time. I'm now 74 years old and can still turn cartwheels with my grandchildren on the back lawn, then race them to the pool and race them across to the other end. I always win.

Sure is crazy that several decades ago, everyone consumed way more meat, way more butter, and way less sugar, and almost no one was fat.

I'm not a doctor but as someone who has been metabolically sick for many years (I am 60), as well as being overweight, I have to say that the carnivore diet has been the best most healing way of eating that I have found. Not only have I lost 65 lbs. so far (10 months in) but I am no longer metabolically sick, no longer have bloating, swelling, joint pain, skin issues and insulin resistance or high blood sugar issues. My energy level has greatly increased and I feel better than I have in 2 decades. The best thing about starting the carnivore diet is that you see results very quickly as far as weight loss and you begin to feel better very quickly after the first week, which encourages you to keep going.

I have been on a keto diet for about 15 months. Even before I knew about keto, I developed leg cramps while eating lots of carbos (somewhere at age 78-80). Now on a keto diet, I still have that problem that requires me to use 4.5 g of potassium and 500 mg of magnesium daily. But, no more cramps. However, what keto did for me is here at age 85:
- pre-diabetes gone
- A1c is now 5.2
- I do not have to take blood pressure pills anymore
- I lost 25 pounds
- No more early down sweating
- No more some pains I experienced for years- I can exercise every second day in a gym and walk long distances in between.

It’s great to hear many points of view within the animal bases space. Everyone needs to be honest with themselves about what works best for each individual. I like that you touched on the metabolically unhealthy might want to get healthy before they introduce lord of fruit and honey. Eventually, after reversing metabolic issues, fruit and honey can be good, as long as it doesn’t spiral into a full relapse into a full on addiction spiral. For Paul, it’s working great! Learned a lot from this podcast.

I appreciate his courage to change his mind due to his findings. It takes balls to admit you’re wrong- esp in the public eye
I appreciate honesty - ty Paul you’re doing the right thing

I'm doing low carb/keto combined with fast walking 1 hr daily and I could actually feel my brain coming to life in a way I have never experienced before
with this high fat diet.
Brains love fat!
I'm 64 and consuming info and learning non stop and I've never been so creative, curious and alive!
Plus I lost 100+ lbs!
Win/win
