FIRST LOOK at Microsoft Flight Simulator's SR22

What's the Cirrus SR22, part of the Premium Deluxe version of Microsoft Flight Simulator, really like? I test the avionics, handling, realism, and look at MSFS20 on the first day of release. The G1000 PFD and MFD are lacking a little compared to XPlane11 but I test loading a waypoint and flying the autopilot. Plus finding bugs with the drone camera function and what happens if you taxi your plane into a truck?

Hey Stefan. *To change your tail number:* go to the *World Map* screen, then click on *Aircraft Selection* then *ATC Options* and choose *Tail Number* option.
There's also a *CallSign* option in the ATC options page as well.

Now get in there and VH-EYZ, or surprise us with VH-KJN in the next video :-P

There are a lot of bugs, it still has a long ways to go.. but give it time. This has been a massive undertaking and we should be lucky that Microsoft even bothered to revive this let alone finish it given the circumstances.

Hey! Stefan! here is a great tip, if you use right alt (Alt Gr) on your keyboard, and then click on one of the screens, it'll pop out just like in FSX / X Plane!

It's a pretty amazing representation aside from a few places "Cough"(MCG, Sydney Harbour Bridge) but im sure all in due time! I hope to see you flying online soon, i also enjoy the SR22, thanks to you :)

You are the best, man!!!! X-Plane torquesim sr22 is a study level product while ms2020 is a game, when PMDG wake up i will be flying on both sims but i will never left X-Plane.

I don't really remember how the FS build was in 18 August but now, in november, you can do almost every STAR, SID, RNAV or ILS with no problems at all. There are some minor bugs (some buttons don't work properly) but you can find and activate procedures on G1000 normally.

To change the tail number go into the aircraft selection page and on the left it will say aircraft selection, liveries, weight & balance, failures, and atc options go to atc options and the tail number is at the top

You absolutely can change your reg tail number. After you selected your aircraft, click on it again in the flight plan page and there's settings for reg, callsign, w/b, and liveries.

The weather engine is great you can see showers coming in. Just need some good payware aircraft.

Hey Stefan been a long time fan of the channel - Wanted to try help you out on the new MFS ( I've been a flight simmer since FS2004, then FSX, Xplane 11, P3D and now MFS) At 7:00 in the video you've activated Slew mode its a mode than you can teleport yourself for example to setup on short final - As with the G1000's I think we all need to keep in our minds this is a DEFAULT aircraft and comparing Xplane 11 Defaults vs this is blows it out of the water! - This platform has a massive 3rd party backing and like with Xplane 11 when it first came out and even today - its riddled with bugs half of victoria just isn't in Xplane 11. I'd love to see you use this platform more as it allows for so much. You can do group bush flying around victoria with your viewers. My self personally as a Melbourne student pilot would love that. I hope this helps enlighten you opinion a bit! Love the videos - Needs more milkshake tho

You can change the call sign in the aircraft selection menu. I believe it is under the ATC Options. Hope this helps

Thanks for the honest, and always entertaining review. Would love to know what frame rates you are actually getting (i know you set the v-sync to 60 frames) and what graphics settings you have set. I might need to upgrade my graphics card, as it was struggling when set at all HIGH (haven't even throught of trying Ultra - can you get negative frame rates, hahaha)

Everyone seems to forget that X-Plane is on version 11. I don't know what the early versions were like, but I'm guessing not every switch and setting was working. This is essentially MSFS version 1. The people that worked on the last MSFS (X) for the most part are not the people working on this version. Imagine MSFS 2020 after a few version releases (not updates like 1.8 to 1.9... I'm talking 2.0 - 3.0 - 4.0 etc.). Little things mentioned here will most likely be working in future releases, because realism today is expected more than it was years ago.
