Very nice looking plants! Great seeing other couples enjoying the rewards of a garden together, like my wife and I.

I bought Red Okra this year so I can see it better. The green ones hide so well.. Okra is my favorite plant to grow. I live in the deep south and they love it here. Thank you nice video.

Watching from South Africa but grew up in Zimbabwe where Okra will grow on its own during the rain season amongst maize, millet and sorghum, my point is that okra is really easy to grow as it can withstand hard conditions

Finally found a master okra producer! My Aunt Ivey (RIP) was from Kingston and we lived in Evanston Illinois ( won't trouble you the history), but Aunt Ivey came to visit after our part of the family had moved to Independence Kansas. She only wanted to see the farms...! Which was OK with me too, because the population was less than 20, 000. I was not really interested in farms at that time, but I came from farmers, gardeners, taxi drivers, and horse/mule & trainers. Now I am starting to get the "garden part" right!

I love okra so much not only to eat but the flowers are beautiful.
What a great crop you have!

So good. Smart. Smart. I grew up kinda hardscrabble in NC. Nobody could rely on anything
but rain. You do a perfect job talking about a plot you can manage. When you're doing an acre or so, things get different. Thank you for being you.

For sure a blessing video!
I have been growing okras for about 5 years now and it is a great harvest every year.
Now I'll start pruning the plants too.
Thanks, be blessed!

At the end of okra season you can cut off the tops and use the okra canes to stake up fava beans in the fall/ early winter. But only do this if you have mild winters, zone 7+!
(Favas take 100+ days to mature and will not tolerate heavy frost.)
The canes will die but are very woõdy and they do not break

I love this guy‘s energy. I love his clear, concise communication. I’m growing okra for the first time this year, and this pruning video was incredibly helpful. Keep up the great videos, beautiful garden by the way.

This is my 2nd year growing okra. Other than peppers, it was the only thing that produced during our (unexpectedly early) extreme Texas heat last year. So this year, I put in a BUNCH, and I knew I spaced them a too close. But here you are, teaching me how to make it work and right on time. THANK YOU! & God bless you and yours!
